Scope of Appeals and Complaints
The Annals of the College of Medicine, Mosul is committed to ensuring fairness, transparency, and integrity in its editorial and peer review processes. Authors and reviewers may raise appeals or complaints under the following circumstances:

Appeals against editorial decisions: Authors may submit a reasoned rebuttal to editorial judgments regarding manuscript acceptance or rejection. Appeals must be evidence-based and clearly articulate the grounds for reconsideration.

Complaints regarding processing delays: Complaints may be lodged if there are unjustified delays in manuscript handling, peer review, or editorial decision-making. Such complaints should specify the nature and duration of the delay.

Complaints concerning ethics or misconduct: Claims of wrongdoing, misconduct, or violation of peer review or publication ethics may be submitted for investigation. These include concerns related to reviewer bias, conflicts of interest, or breaches of ethical standards.
How Appeals and Complaints Are Handled
- The Editor-in-Chief and/or the handling editor should be the first people to receive the appeal or complaint.
- The journal's publishing authority should be contacted directly if the complaint pertains to the handling editor or the editor-in-chief.
- The journal's website's Contact Us page contains the responsible authority's contact information.
- If no publishing contact is available, appeals and complaints should be sent to the following email: [email protected]
